In this book, the author addresses these urgent issues and explains why one works and why the other does not. This is a timely and well-written book for our youth and singles of today! Parents, heads up, you might want to read this one as well!
In his book, Author Milton K. Smith, concisely and firmly addresses the delicate subject of relationships and Christian dating in a simple and understandable way. Drawing a parallel between tabernacle, in ancient Jewish times, and the human spirit, the author sets forth a standard that is undeniable and biblically based. This is an urgent subject that needs to be more readily addressed in our youth and within our culture, as the morals have declined into the thinking that casual dating and casual mannerisms are acceptable. Not so, in this intriguing book, the author sets forth a firm foundation for what it means to be holy in relationships and to live a life acceptable to God.
This thought provoking book touches the readers’s very soul in causing one to reassess their own views when it comes to dating. Through an educating tone, like a father to a son or daughter, the author, brilliantly and eloquently poses the right questions to ask one self when considering a mate. Explaining step by step what it means to be a person with a body, soul and spirit, the author, puts in layman’s terms what it means to be filled with the Spirit of God and that the attributes to be looking for in a mate might not be what you think. As the author explains, it is of high importance to address the spiritual, as well as the physical, causing the reader to gauge the relationships that are being considered.
Setting a firm biblical perspective and foundation for an acceptable, in order relationship, the author goes on to describe the process of a healthy progression of a relationship, once a mate has been chosen. Using the example of a house and the various rooms, the author, exemplifies what exactly you should look for in a mate and how to proceed. By highlighting what is truly important, the author gives the reader the correct biblical standpoint for choosing a mate. If only our youths were taught this from the beginning there would be much less confusion and heartache!
A highly recommend book and quick read, this book can be used as a ministering tool to youths, singles and parents, alike, no matter what the age. In today’s world, this is an urgent issue that the author has addressed in a non-offensive manner, yet is biblically sound. Thank you Milton for writing this informative and much needed book!

The Big question that every author asks. How does a Christian author go about promoting his or her book? I would encourage you to place a book marketing plan into motion. Marketing a Christian book and title can be quite challenging and finding successful ways to tap into both the Christian and secular marketplace is important. Here is a very simply plan to follow that will help you promote both you as author and your Christian book.
1) Christian Website Design - You must first focus on a home base or platform to work from. Creating a professional authors website is a 10 on a scale of 10. You can also utilize a blog and especially if you have the knowledge and time to create a professional blog that will attract visitors. However, if you don't have a minimum of a year or two creating professional websites and/or blogs to include a understanding of search engine optimization, and how the Internet functions. You could do more damage than good to your professional image as a author.
2) Book Reviews - A professional book review can be a very powerful marketing tool when use properly and I'm not talking about on Amazon. There are millions of titles on Amazon and endless book reviews. It's very easy to with high hopes get lost among the numbers.

However, as a Christian author who has written a book to the Glory of God, you just can't in trust your book to any book reviews service. Your book requires a reviewer with a understanding in the word of God, Kingdom principles and that shares a relationship with Christ.
3) Book Trailers - A professional book trailer is also a powerful way and tool to promote and market one's book. People are visual and they love short movie clips. The movie industry has used movie trailers for years and with great success. Today authors from all walks are taking advantage of the book trailer craze.
4) Authors Press Releases - A professional authors press release is a great way to get the word out about your new book release. There are even free press release sites where you can submit your press release for publication.
5) Christian Authors Pages - A Christian authors page is a single page at a website that markets your book to the visitors and readers of that website. The marketing consists of a photo (jpg.) of your book cover, a short description and a link back to your authors website or blog.
6) Christian Book Marketing - Expanded book marketing and SEO. Driving traffic and gathering the attention of potential book lovers can be challenging. A land and time where Jesus ‘the Nazarene’ walked the earth in the midst of the injustice and chaotic darkness. This is a gripping novel that will keep you coming back for more.
Author Debra Diaz, in her fast paced novel, “Woman of Sin” takes you back through the centuries in her timeless classic. Follow young Alysia down her road of capture from her place of privilege in her Athenian home, to a Roman household to be bound forever as a slave. Taken from her home she loses everything, but she is yet to gain everything at the end of her road of travel. She is about to find true love in every sense of the word.
Author Debra Diaz elegantly and beautifully weaves an unforgettable story of true love, mirroring scenes taken from the scriptures, where young Alysia is tested by trials and tribulations back in a time where women were of little esteem, except for their purpose in child bearing. Some called him ‘rabboni’ the word for ‘great teacher.’ Yet as the story unfolds you will see that he is more than a great teacher, for he can perform such miracles as healing a leper, healing the blind and the paralyzed, even raising the dead. He was the Son of God walking the earth, the lamb without sin, crucified for our sins so that we might live. Without His resurrection from the cross, he would be little more than a famed teacher to once have graced this earth. The author leads you to want to know more about this Jesus.
Filled with suspense and romance, this novel is eloquently written and will take the reader back through time and lead you on a journey that is so real, so tangible, you’ll not want it to end. A true masterpiece! This book comes highly recommended. You will not be able to put this one down, I assure you! The book is truly a mini-series in the making. A movie in the making, "God’s Avenger Michael, The Imprecatory Angel" written by Daniel John Gura is a exciting, gripping and fascinating read. This pro-life Christian fiction novel will touch your heart and cause you to ponder one of today's most controversial and profound issues - the lives of the unborn. A fiction novel that is interwoven with life, truth and realities of monumental proportion.
The author's writing style will keep you hanging on the edge of your seat coupled with an expectancy of what the next page, character or chapter will bring. There are no idle sections to be found in this book which flows from one page to the next. You will not be able to put the book down as each situation unfolds and the next is birthed. The book is captivating and engaging as the author portrays the righteousness of God being inflicted upon the evil and wickedness of mankind through this Imprecatory Angel, Michael.
Each character comes to life in this fast paced novel as the author describes each scene with real intensity and real-life drama. As each situation unfolds, the book reads like an action movie on paper. The author makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters as they try to unravel the unfolding mysteries of the disasters happening around them. From rumors to hypotheticals, something is unfolding beyond the natural with the supernatural taking the forefront.
Just as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were spared in Old Testament times with all unharmed 'without even the smell of smoke' on their clothing or a scratch on their persons. Just like the plagues of Moses that were unleashed on Egypt in biblical times, this book has supernatural, righteous judgement and justice woven all through the mesmerizing pages, all the while bringing praise and glory to God.
This is a timely and important piece of work addressing one of today's most controversial issues - saving the lives of the unborn. After reading this book, one must come to the conclusion of considering the life of the unborn to be to monumental to just sit down and remain silent. This pro-life novel reveals God's justice that is magnificent in scope, supernatural in nature and just as evil was destroyed back in Old Testament times, the author reveals, God still hears the imprecatory prayers of his Saints and answers prayers with a righteous cause. Good triumphs over evil in this magnificently written novel, while lives are forever changed in the process.
A highly recommended book not just because of the cause, but because it is superbly written from the opening page to the closing page. As was stated in the opening sentence of this review, "God's Avenger Michael, The Imprecatory Angel" is a movie in the making.

Thinking about self publishing or maybe you just published your first Christian book. Now what? Maybe you are on Amazon or listed online at many online Christian and non Christian book stores? Building a online presence and getting out there is important. But what if ....
What if no one can find your book in the millions that are listed online? Just because your book, title and name as a author is on a few great sites doesn't mean that people will find it. Ask yourself this question. Who is going to search for my brand new book release by title or my name as author?
This is why the self published author must market their books. You must create a online presence, promote and market your book so that people can find it. This is not easy and the competition is enormous.
Here's are three first steps that must be put into place.
1) A authors website or blog.
2) A book review.
3) A book trailer.
4) Some smart online marketing of the above three items.

Here are some basic must do's that I recommend to all authors with regards to marketing their books, both Christian and secular.
1st: You must have a authors website or blog that showcases you as a author, your book, that shares about your book, where and how to order it and how to contact you as author.
2nd: You must have a professional book review service review your book and write a professional book review. Here is a hint, make sure that you use a christian book review service and not a secular book review service.
3rd: You must create a online presence so that book lovers can find you and your book. This is where your authors website or blog comes into play, however, you must market your site also. While you can perform some of the marketing yourself by joining various author book related sites, you must also set a budget aside for a book marketing campaign.
4th: Authors business cards and book markers are another great marketing tool. Be sure to place your book title, ISBN number, and website address on them along with other information. I recomend starting with Vista Print.
5th: Creating and marketing. Let me say that again. Creating and MARKETING a book trailer that showcases your book in another powerful way to promote and market your book.
6th: You must pursue book signings at local bookstores, churches and wherever God may open doors for you. I also recommend that you study up on how to put on a great book signing and one that is designed to attract book lovers while also impressing the bookstore management at the same time. A well planed successful book signing event can open further doors for additional book signing events.
7th and most important. Do your homework before you put your plans into motion.

In this economy many authors are choosing the self promoting route. While most author promotions and book marketing experts don't recommend this, there's no doubt that there has been a increase in the self promoting author and especially those that have self published. If that's you, I encourage you to take the time and do your homework before jumping into the marketing arena. While it may seem easy, one soon finds out that it's not, few find success and it's very time consuming.
Yes you can build your own blog, but the question is do you know how to build and launch a successful blog and do you have the time to learn the process and everything surrounding that process? Yes you can join various author sites, interact with other authors, share your book, book cover and so on. However, are other authors your market? Yes there are some great authors forums out there, however, and once again is that where book lovers hang out or authors? Then there's the Internet, the search engines, key words, labels, how the search engines work and many other things to consider coupled with the fact that they are constantly changing and evolving.
My point being while all these things can be fun and a part of building a network while creating book buzz, they are and should be seen as secondary to a well thought out authors promotions and book marketing plan. Here is a simple author promotions and book marketing plan for the new and self published author. Let's call it class 101 for authors.
1) Have a professional authors web site built.
2) Get your own .com that fits your book and marketing plan.
3) Have someone with the knowledge build or help you build and launch a professional blog.
4) Create a network that promotes you, your book, your web site and your blog that markets and promotes you as a author and your book not to other authors, but to book lovers within your market and buying audience.
5) Understand that you will not become a overnight success, that it takes hard work and time.

With 2009 in the record books, we all have 2010 to look forward to. May it be a year of accomplishments and success for many. With 2010 freshly starting out, now is the time for every author to put things into perspective and come up with a plan for 2010.
From previous works and published books, manuiscript preperations, editing, book cover designs, to new book projects and releases, publishing needs, book signings, book events and all the promotions involved, plus the task of a fresh authors website and of course author promotions and book marketing for the year ahead.
Over this last year, I have been following and reading some great writings that help authors with tips, information, ideas and lots of advice about how to promote and market their books. One thing that I find is many of these sites have thousands of authors registered that all interact, share their books, author sites and so on. Sometimes I wonder where that goes with regards to book sales. Author's all trying to sell each other their books. Meanwhile there are millions and millions of book lovers out there that read 10 and 20 books per year.
Now if I wanted to sell tires, I don't think I would try to sell retail tires to my competitors that makes tires. Seems to me, I would want to focus my marketing on car owners and not the people that make tires for cars.
Let me encourage you to find ways, and new lands to promote and market your books at. As a author of a new book you want to find ways to promote and market your book to a buying audience, not to other authors on sites and forums where authors hang out.
