A Heart Touching Tribute to God

Paul G. Tremewan writes a heart-touching tribute to God, to family, and to living during the most trying of times.

Confined in the chains of a bedridden and dying body, Paul G. Tremewan, did the only thing he could, write to others to inspire them. His poems and stories reflect his thoughts and prayers of the scripture verse - 2 Corinthians 4:16, “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.”

Declaring Jesus Christ as Lord of all, Paul G. Tremewan’s poems and stories have been put in this faith-filled memoir, so they might be preserved. His insights from his deathbed offer teaching, wisdom and inspire and give life to a dying world.  Giving hope for the faith journey, his book also sheds light on God’s Word, hope, prayer, nature, peace, relationships and his many teaching experiences, some humorous, stories as a teacher of young middle school kids.

Paul G. Tremewan was also an avid outdoorsman, writer, carpenter (and even a Civil War enthusiast who enjoyed reenactments of the Civil War) that loved to give to others and as one who appreciated life, he reminds us all of the meaning of counting one’s blessings in such a temporal and fading world.

Additionally, his son, Robert Tremewan, writes the forward and states, “My dad, being the loving,
caring soul he was, would have been quite thrilled and honored to have his writings published, so as to give comfort or inspiration to those who may need it. It is my hope that this book can help anyone suffering from terminal illness find peace, and even if in but a small way help in the fight against ALS. This book is dedicated to the memory of my dad, Paul George Tremewan, and to those in spiritual need into whose hands this book may find its way. May they be at peace.”

If you know of anyone suffering from hopelessness or a terminal illness, these prayers, poems and endearing short stories written from the most humbling of places comes highly recommended! This a rare gem, that most-likely you will remember as one of those books to remember and that changed your life.

Heaven’s Oasis

A must read page turner.

Heaven’s Oasis by Jeff W. Horton highlights the elements of biblical archaeology, romance, mystery and suspense, thrilling readers with this Christian fiction novel.

With the main element as romance, the author combines Kevin Foster’s love for his deceased wife with thoughts and flash backs of Claire, his soul mate.

Intertwining, a great adventure, Kevin Foster a history professor (as the main character), finds himself completely out of his “comfort zone”. Dedicated to a mission to redeem his wife from all the public harassment and slander to her personally and professionally, to a reputation of great honor and integrity, as she deserved. His wife, prior to her death, as a famed Archaeologist, that had been on a lifelong quest to the discovery of a secret gate leading to another place, another world, where the Garden of Eden or Heaven is kept.

This place was so incredible that one could never find words to describe the colors, the sights and the vibrant life of this other realm known as “Heaven’s Oasis”. It was this discovery that others were desperately trying to steal, and even kill Kevin for. The dangerous race to the finish line to redeem his wife’s work is almost complete.

Full of edge-of-your-seat drama, the author begins by drawing readers into Kevin’s world with an action-packed scene driving through Iraq’s arid desert. Adding to the validity of the novel, many believable discoveries of recent archeological artifacts confirm the reliability of the Bible as an accurate historical document. As well as mentioning the existence of certain key characters in the Bible, such as Pontus Pilate, merely bolstering the truth of the Bible.

Each chapter flows into the next and there are many mysterious happenings as Kevin remembers his beginning in this mission as he was pursued by mercenaries on a vendetta to stop him. Why are they so interested in stopping this grand discovery of a lifetime? His travels lead him to the Middle East, namely Iraq, as he continues his wife’s life work.  Filled with nuances, Kevin comes to terms with his grief over his wife and reconciles that all things are possible with God.

Encouraging all believers to trust in God on a deeper level, even throughout grief and difficulties, makes this read an inspiring, intensely written Christian fiction novel. A Select Study on America’s Christian Origin

A must read for every Christian and American - America’s Founding Fathers and the Bible: A Select Study on America’s Christian Origin by Stephen A. Flick, Ph.D. shares America’s rich biblical history and Christian heritage. Focusing on the American

Revolution and afterwards, the author writes that America was founded on Christian principles and biblical practices that our Founding Fathers instituted, stemming from the formation of our government and the Continental Congress.

Unwaveringly the author also reveals contrary claims by secularists and irreligionists that America was founded and “arose from the barrenness of secularism,” give way to an intriguing book that gives insight into America’s beginnings, formation as a nation and the underlying Christian legacy of America as a nation.

Divided into three sections: The Continental Congress and the Bible, Three Founding Fathers on the Bible, After the American Revolution, Conclusion: American Renaissance and coupled with three Reading Sections -  Defense of the use of the Bible as a SchoolBook, President of Congress Starts Bible Society & By the Bible or By the Bayonet, the author sheds light on the legacy of freedom, commitment to the Christian faith and the Bible, that helps readers understand and presents a brief glimpse into the motivations and truths from which our Founding Fathers relied upon.

With this perspective in mind, this book also provides viewpoints propagated from American Academia, jurisprudence and other disciplines that seem to ignore the facts. Further giving an overview of the initial thirteen colonies that sparked America’s growth and the first decrees of fasts and thanksgivings originally declared, coupled with the ensuing American Revolution, the author shows that America is a country that is nationally based upon the Bible. As the author states,Rather, both private and public writings overwhelmingly demonstrate that America's Founding Fathers intended and did establish American government upon biblical principles and practices.”

This simple, yet historically accurate read comes highly recommended to all Americans, Patriots, Christians, college students and to the general public that serves as a reminder to get back to the foundational principles our country was founded on. Knowing your heritage and history is important and this book presents a keen understanding of “how” our great nation came to be. Concise and to the point, factual information presents and relates the importance of the Christian faith and the Bible in America.  History’s past can be confusing, yet this book is one of those books every American should read, know and understand. It is our privilege, duty and honor to take a stand for what was so costly – our freedom.

The Bridge from OneDayBow

The Bridge from OneDayBow: The Complete Trilogy
Author Kathy M. Warden

The Bridge from OneDayBow is a fictional and modern-day parable of the Gospel. Written with the use of rhyme and poetry, the author offers an interesting “twist” that brings an understanding of the Kingdom of God versus what the world advocates.

Captivating, yet eye-opening, four characters are portrayed – Truth and Life versus Lies and Death that parallel Scripture, and present insight to life’s purpose. The author’s message is simple, and conveys the truth of eternity coupled with God’s absolute authority as the King of kings and Lord of lords; and His Word, that presents an opportunity to believe in the Good News.  Her hopes are to bring others to the Truth of the Word of God and to salvation in Jesus Christ alone. This is a fantastic book for young and old alike, and although fictional, depicts the battle for your soul and life’s meaningless destiny without knowing your Maker, God Himself.

Intertwined with scripture, Tim, the main character, knows there has just got to be more meaning to life other than collecting bobbles. He embarks on a journey of discovery to find Truth and discovers that there is much deception in his world, depending on who one listens to. He finds that there is a way that brings life, joy and much peace into one’s heart and soul (his nooma) and that this peace is not found in worldly bobbles and collecting, but journeying beyond the HereandNow. A mysterious Bridge, leads the way to finding answers. Tim discovers God’s armor as mentioned in Ephesians 6 and that he has all he needs to win the victory!

This book is a wonderful allegory of the salvation of the cross that is possible through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the bridge to salvation and in hopes of leading others to discover their own salvation, the author has penned an incredible adventure that reveals the truth of God’s Word.  ~ A triumphant literal accomplishment giving new life to the genre of Pilgrim’s Progress.

Highly recommended for young teens to increase faith, to encourage them to put on the Armor of God and to reveal the Truth of God’s Words.

The 1970’s Charismatic Renewal Movement

Diary of a Charismatic: Essays on the Spirit Filled Life by Robert LaBarge offers insight into his journey and what being a Spirit-filled believer looks like.

Once an Atheist, Robert LaBarge shares about his coming to salvation in Jesus Christ brought about by the 1970’s Charismatic Renewal movement that impacted the Catholic Church and his entire family.

His personal journey is marked by finding true love in Jesus as Lord and being powerfully touched by what is known as the Father’s Love.  One will find his book touching, powerful and life-changing as the author speaks with candor and Biblical wisdom that make living a Spirit-filled life easily understandable and yet, accessible to all.

In each short writing the author relates Scripture and presents Biblical teaching to many aspects of the Kingdom that shed light on life in the Spirit. Beginning on being born from above and the moving of the Holy Spirit and outpourings around the world, document the Charismatic movement and speak on such subjects as: salvation, Jesus as Lord, trusting in God, the grace of God, as well as the spiritual gifts that were indicative of this movement.  Offering encouragement and guidance into how to receive the gift of tongues also brings further discussion on other gifts such as: the gift of prophecy, discernment of spirits and deliverance, and gifts of healing that offer readers wisdom.  With candor, and some writings that share some light humor, this book will assist readers in coming to know Jesus that brings a deeper understanding of what being filled by the Holy Spirit means Biblically and experientially.

What is great about this book is that the author offers a true Biblical perspective of the Charismatic movement for those that doubt and gives readers knowledge that the focus of that movement is really understanding that Jesus IS Lord – Lord of Your Life, coupled with coming to know Him in intimate relationship. He condemns the idea that the Spirit-filled life is emotionalism conjured up to make one feel good, great worship, etc., as some might think. And also shares that there is available from On High a Baptism in the Holy Spirit that continues today, citing quick historical evidence of modern-day Acts signs and wonders. Thus, his point remains steadfast that signs and wonders did not end with the last apostle; they are evident in the Church throughout history.

Next, the author makes a fantastic statement that describes what life in Christ is meant to be that I have to include (p.11), “Modern Pentecost is about surrendering our souls to everything that the Father desires for us. It is about us being weak and Him being strong and the Holy Spirit leading us in our weakness to do strong things. It is about faith that is alive, hope in the midst of the worries of this world and learning to love all those with whom we share this earthly soil. And it is about trusting Him, that when we yield our heads and our hearts, our feet, hands and tongue, that He knows who we are and can do all He has promised.”

This is an amazing read and comes highly recommended for those that desire for “more” and wonder about the moving in the Spirit, the Baptism in the Spirit, the gifts and the Spirit-filled life.
